Jets declared QB Mike White, TE Jeremy Ruckert, S Tony Adams, DE Jermain Johnson, CB Bryce Hall, WR Denzel Mims and OT Mike Remmers and TE Jeremy Ruckert.
Rich Cimini reported that it was odd to see Remmers inactive since he was elevated from the practice squad last week. Nonetheless, the Jets will attempt to be the second New York-based team to upset the Packers this season.

  • Chiefs re-signed OT Mike Remmers to a one-year contract.
The deal includes $3.5 million guaranteed, suggesting Remmers will remain in the starting mix along the Chiefs’ overhauled offensive line. Another $3.5 million is available through incentives. A fill-in starter most of the 2020 season at right tackle for Mitchell Schwartz, Remmers had to flip to the blindside for the Super Bowl, where he was relentlessly exposed in the Chiefs’ dismal loss. He nevertheless held up reasonably well on the right side for the most of the year. At the very least, he gives the Chiefs a good fall-back plan if a better starting option does not materialize. Second-year pro Lucas Niang will be another option after opting out of the 2020 campaign.

  • Chiefs signed OL Mike Remmers to a one-year contract.
Remmers has been a starter the past six seasons but has never been more than a replacement-level option. He played all 14 games he was healthy for at right tackle for the Giants last year. Remmers could be an option on the interior for Kansas City after not re-signing Stefan Wisniewski.
  • Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports it is “unlikely” free agent RT Mike Remmers re-signs with the Giants
Remmers, 31, has bounced around the NFL in recent years, settling in as a replacement-level starter. He started 14 games for the Giants last season after being released by the Vikings the previous offseason. Remmers has had back issues in the past but will likely be a starter in 2020.
  • Giants RT Mike Remmers (back) isn’t a lock to be ready for training camp.
Remmers missed the entire offseason recovering from surgery. He’ll be in a race to get cleared for the start of camp, where the Giants figure to move him slowly. Remmers’ Week 1 status isn’t in doubt.
  • Giants RT Mike Remmers (back) didn’t participate in any offseason workouts.
Remmers is still recovering from back surgery. There hasn’t been much concern over his status, but Remmers isn’t a lock to be cleared for the start of training camp. The Giants are counting on a healthy Remmers to be a Week 1 starter.
  • Giants signed OT Mike Remmers, formerly of the Vikings, to a one-year, $2.5 million contract.
Remmers was strongly linked to the G-Men this offseason prior to undergoing a “minor” back surgery in April. The 29-year-old performed poorly on the interior with the Vikings last season, but a position change back to right tackle plus his familiarity with Pat Shurmur dating back to the coach’s final year in Minnesota may be just the changes Remmers needs at this stage of his career. He’s currently projected to start the season over RT Chad Wheeler.
  • The Record’s Art Stapleton still expects free agent OT Mike Remmers (back) to sign with the Giants.
Remmers was strongly linked with the Giants following his release in March, but nothing has happened on that front since. According to Stapleton, Remmers will sign “if and when” he is able to pass a physical. Remmers underwent back surgery earlier this offseason.
  • Free agent G/T Mike Remmers is recovering from back surgery.
Remmers’ agent, Brett Tessler, described it as minor and that Remmers will likely sign somewhere following the draft. The Giants were linked to Remmers last month following his release from the Vikings. Perhaps that’s where Remmers will end up, rejoining coach Pat Shurmur.
  • Agent Brett Tessler said there’s a “very good chance” free agent OL Mike Remmers will sign with the Giants.
Remmers had a good visit with the Giants on Friday, prompting his agent to tweet that a deal could come to fruition in the “not too distant future.” The 29-year-old is familiar with Pat Shurmur, who served as his offensive coordinator in Minnesota before landing the Giants’ head job last year. Remmers fared poorly with the Vikings last season, earning PFF’s No. 74 grade out of 81 qualifiers at guard.
