The Bills’ struggling defense could soon be getting some help.

Rookie cornerback Ron Brooks, a fourth-round pick in the 2012 draft, has been activated from injured reserve.

Brooks broke his foot in August. He underwent surgery, and he was placed on the brand-new revocable IR (as Kuselias calls it).

Last month, Brooks returned to practice. Wednesday, the eight-week anniversary of his placement on the list, was the earliest on which he could return to the 53-man roster.

To create a spot for Brooks, offensive lineman Chad Rinehart was moved to injured reserve. Rinehart had started the last three games for the 3-4 Bills.
