Former NFL defensive back and assistant coach Corwin Brown, who engaged in a seven-hour standoff with police after shots were fired at Brown’s home on Friday, has been hospitalized with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the torso.
Per Angelo Di Carlo of WNDU, Brown is in fair condition.
Reports of trouble emerged in the early afternoon. Brown’s wife and children left the house without serious injury; his wife had a bruise on her head, and the children were unharmed.
No shots were fired by police, who spent nearly seven hours persuading Brown to surrender.
