Bears receiver Devin Hester, who really doesn’t do much receiving, set the career record for return touchdowns on Monday night with his 14th.

And so for the ninth time in his career, Hester is the NFC special teams player of the week.

But what about the guy who became the first player in NFL history to win a game with a walk-off punt return? Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson’s historic feat in a game for the ages was overshadowed by Hester’s accomplishment.

In fairness to Hester, he also had a long kickoff return in Monday night’s win.

Still, we would have given the award to Jackson, without hesitation. Though Hester’s career accomplishments are now historic, Jackson produced one of the most thrilling moments in league history.
