It looks like the Eagles will avoid a matchup with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 10 after Rodgers suffered a left shoulder injury on Monday night, but they’ve still made a move to shore up their secondary.
The team announced that they have signed cornerback Curtis Marsh, who they waived/injured at the end of the preseason. Marsh, who was originally a third-round pick of the team in 2011, spent two games with the Bengals after his departure from Philly as well.
Cornerback Bradley Fletcher suffered a pectoral injury against the Raiders last Sunday and the team is unsure whether he’ll be able to recover in time for the game against the Packers. With only four cornerbacks on the active roster, the Eagles had to make a move to give themselves some insurance in the secondary.
Marsh made 24 tackles in 22 games with the Eagles over the last two seasons. He also was credited with two passes defensed.
