The Giants are working (slowly, painfully) on a new offense.

And they’re only going to keep two quarterbacks to run it.

According to NJ.com, quarterback Curtis Painter is among the early cuts for the Giants.

That leaves Ryan Nassib as Eli Manning’s only backup, and frankly, with the injury problems they had up front, a third quarterback would have been a luxury.

They’ve also released defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles, defensive back Bennett Jackson, linebacker Dan Fox, fullback John Conner, offensive lineman Jamaal Johnson-Webb, tight end Kellen Davis.
