Chargers fans are holding their breath right now, and not because someone in their vicinity has broken wind.

First-round draft pick Melvin Ingram exited the game with a leg injury in the third quarter.

He was sitting on the bench after exiting the field. We’ll update as soon as our pals Paul Allen, Pete Bercich, and Ben Leber pass along more info.

The Chargers lead a lackluster preseason effort for both teams, 6-3.

UPDATE 10:47 p.m. ET: Per Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego, the Chargers say that Ingram has a bruised thigh.
