A day after head coach Jack Del Rio, who ran the team since 2003, was relieved of his duties, another member of the coaching staff has joined him as a former employee of the team.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that receivers coach Johnny Cox has gotten the heave-ho. Also, quarterbacks coach Mike Sheppard has been moved to receivers coach and offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter (pictured) will be the quarterbacks coach. (Koetter apparently will also continue to coordinate the offense.)
The Jags also cut starting receiver Jason Hill.
Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker has been named the interim head coach.
