Randy Gregory: I have problems, issues I’m taking care of

Nebraska pass rusher Randy Gregory, once viewed as a Top 10 talent whose draft stock has plummeted, acknowledged as he went undrafted into the middle of the second round that he has personal trouble he’s working through.

“Obviously I wanted to be drafted early. That’s the main goal. I honestly think I’m elite. But I also have problems. I have some issues I’m taking care of, and those I think are up in the air, obviously, because I haven’t been picked yet,” Gregory said on ESPN.

Gregory didn’t say what those “problems” and “issues” are. There have been a number of reports indicating that NFL teams are worried about Gregory off the field, but those reports are short on details.

Although Gregory is one of the most talented players in this year’s draft, it may be a while before he finds his NFL home. He’s the last player left in the green room, a development no one would have expected a few weeks ago.
