REPORT: BRADY’S SURGERY WENT WELL

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had surgery Monday to repair the ACL in his left knee Monday, and the Boston Globe quotes a source as saying the procedure went well. Brady tore his ACL and MCL in the season opener on September 7. Doctors waited a month before performing the surgery because they wanted to give the MCL time to heal before reconstructing the ACL. The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal S. ElAttrache at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. The recovery time for the surgery is expected to be six to eight months, which would mean Brady might not be ready to return in time for spring minicamps but should be ready for training camp.
