After slipping behind the Seahawks in the third quarter, the Packers rallied in the final 15 minutes of Sunday night’s game to pull out a 27-17 win that improved their record to 2-0 this season.
They were able to accomplish that task without running back Eddie Lacy, who left the game in the first half with an ankle injury and never returned to the contest. X-rays taken on Sunday night came back negative and it appears Lacy has avoided a serious injury altogether.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Lacy’s ankle sprain is “minor” and that he could be back in the lineup when the Packers face the Chiefs next Monday night. If that proves to be too quick a turnaround, the Packers will be in Santa Clara to face the 49ers in Week Four.
James Starks had 95 yards on 20 carries on Sunday night and the Packers offense still moved the ball after Lacy was out of the lineup, so his absence next week probably wouldn’t be a major obstacle for Green Bay to overcome as they try to remain undefeated this season.
