The Vikings’ inability to close out the final drive of Sunday night’s game with a score has cost them more than a berth in the Super Bowl.
According to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times, cornerback Cedric Griffin has a torn ACL.
Griffin injured the knee while covering the kickoff to start overtime.
Per Jensen, no other ligaments are damaged.
Griffin, a four-year veteran, had a career-high four interceptions in 2009.
