The Bills spent the weekend shuffling their linebacking corps because injuries had thinned out the position, but they’re getting healthier in a couple of other spots.
The team announced on Monday morning that wide receiver Sammy Watkins and defensive tackles Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus have all been cleared to practice. Watkins and Williams were on the physically unable to perform list while Dareus was on the non-football illness list.
Watkins hasn’t practiced with the team since having surgery on his left foot in May and entered camp unsure about when he’d be given the green light. Watkins made steady progress in his rehab, however, and always appeared to be on track for the start of the regular season.
Williams ended last season on injured reserve with a knee injury and trimmed his salary in March in order to remain with the team. The Bills didn’t disclose the reason why Dareus opened camp on the NFI list and it won’t make much of a difference if he returns to form in time for Week One.
