The Oklahoma St. product has played eight snaps in two games. He’s never caught up after missing most of training camp. Dynasty leaguers can be patient, but don’t expect much from Woods until the second half of this season.

The first-round draft pick is stuck at No. 4 on the 49ers depth chart because of his incessant injuries during training camp.

“Because of my injuries, I won’t have the shot or chance I had before -- when I was competing with guys -- to step in early,” Woods, the team’s No. 1 draft pick, said Thursday. “I’ll still have a chance, but it’s been postponed.” Woods isn’t draftable, but because the guys in front of him are far from superstars, he’s someone to watch through the season.

San Francisco should see what they have in the first-rounder. He’s got a long way to go to be a fantasy option.

It would be his most extensive work of the season. Fantasy leaguers should take a wait-and-see approach with the once promising receiver.

This is one draft rumor that we do believe. But it doesn’t matter, there’s no way Woods falls to Baltimore at #52.

We had high hopes for the Oklahoma St. product, but he’s struggled to stay on the field this August.
