Seahawks signed Texas A&M WR Speedy Noil.
Noil (5’11/199) turned pro as a junior after amassing a career 88-1,134-9 (12.9 YPR) receiving line at TAMU, failing to reach 25 catches in each of his final two seasons. While theoretically explosive with 4.45 speed and a 43 ½-inch vertical, Noil’s athleticism didn’t translate to much production in the SEC. He never scored a TD on 60 career return opportunities and averaged only 23.0 yards on kickoff returns. CBS Sports’ Dane Brugler has suggested Noil switch to cornerback due to his poor hands and routes. Noil is also known to have baggage off the field.
