    Browns signed WR Taurus Johnson.
Johnson was just cut by the Dolphins last Thursday and had previously spent time with the Chiefs and Lions. Considering his best skill is in the return game, Cleveland is a strange place to land. Josh Cribbs obviously isn’t going anywhere.
  • WAS Wide Receiver
Browns waived WR Taurus Johnson, CB Gerard Lawson, and OL John Malecki.
Johnson had only two weeks to impress the coaching staff after being claimed off waivers from Miami, and didn’t. Lawon might have made the roster if not for an offseason arrest. Maleck was an undrafted rookie out of Pitt.
  • MIA Wide Receiver
Receivers Ryan Grice-Mullen, Brian Hartline, Davone Bess, and Taurus Johnson are working as the primary punt return candidates in Dolphins camp.
The Dolphins have an opening on punt returns. If Grice-Mullen is going to push the disappointing Patrick Turner off the roster as the fifth receiver, this is his ticket. Bess averaged just 7.5 yards per return last season.
  • WAS Wide Receiver
    Dolphins waived WR Taurus Johnson.
The Dolphins signed Johnson to the practice squad last December after he went undrafted out of South Florida. He saw time on kickoff and punt returns early in training camp, but was buried too low on the wideout depth chart.
