USC signed former Washington junior WR Terrell Bynum on Monday.
The Trojans were in a position where they needed to add talent. Bynum (6'1/195) played his high school football at nearby St. John Bosco before committing to Washington. During his recruitment, USC was a finalist, which helps explain this move. In his 34 games for the Huskies, Bynum caught 65 passes for 934 yards and six touchdowns.

Former Washington junior WR Terrell Bynum will enter the transfer portal.
Bynum (6'1/195) was the best pass-catching option in a dreadful Washington offense that finished 11th in passing in the PAC-12. Bynum has some incredible speed, can make big plays, and hopefully, he’ll have that chance in a better offense

  • TB Tight End #88
Washington redshirt junior TE Cade Otton (lower body), redshirt senior RB Sean McGrew (undisclosed) and junior WR Terrell Bynum (undisclosed) are not warming up ahead of Saturday’s game at Colorado.
While Otton (6'5/250) was injured during last week’s loss to Arizona State, neither McGrew nor Bynum played in that game. While Otton’s absence means that Devin Culp will see more action at tight end, Cameron Davis should see more time at running back. Lastly, Jalen McMillan will lead the way at wide receiver.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Washington junior WR Terrell Bynum (undisclosed) is not warming up ahead of Saturday’s game against Arizona State.
Not having Bynum (6'1/195) would be a big deal for the Huskies, as he has been one of the team’s most dependable options in the passing game. The junior wide receiver has caught 26 passes for 436 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Huskies in yards and touchdowns. No Bynum would mean more targets for Jalen McMillan and Taj Davis, who are second and third on the team in receptions, respectively.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Washington junior WR Terrell Bynum caught five passes for 115 yards with a touchdown in a 31-10 blowout loss to Michigan on Saturday.
Bynum missed the Montana loss with an undisclosed injury, but he was able to go against Michigan, and unsurprisingly led Washington yardage and hauled in a 22-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound wideout should remain the top target for the Huskies next week against Arkansas State. Washington will need to win that game to avoid an 0-3 start.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Head coach Jimmy Lake says junior Washington WR Terrell Bynum is listed as week-to-week.
This is news Huskies fans did not want to hear. Bynum (6'1"/195) missed last week’s 13-7 upset loss to FCS team Montana. In fact, all two other wide receivers, freshmen Rome Odunze (6'3"/200) and Jalen McMillan (6'1"/180) did not play. QB Morris Dylan was able to throw for 226 yards last week, but none of his receivers found the end zone. If none of these receivers suit up, it could spell trouble for Washington. They will head to the big house in a huge road game against Michigan this Saturday.

  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Washington wide receivers Rome Odunze and Terrell Bynum did not take part in warmups ahead of Saturday’s game against Montana.
With Jalen McMillan already ruled out due to injury, the Huskies could be without their top three pass-catchers for the season opener. Odunze (6'3/200) led the Huskies in receptions in 2020, as he caught six passes for 72 yards. As for Bynum (6'1/190), he caught eight passes for 130 yards while also rushing for 70 yards on five carries.

  • LA Wide Receiver #12
Washington wide receivers Puka Nacua and Terrell Bynum were not on the field for warmups ahead of Saturday’s game vs. Stanford.
It’s unknown why either wide receiver is out, and the same can be said for QB Ethan Garbers and linebackers Ryan Bowman, Cooper McDonald and Laiatu Latu. If any are dealing with COVID-19 related issues, be it a positive test or contact tracing protocols, the concern beyond that is whether or not they’ll be available for next weekend’s showdown with Oregon in Eugene.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Washington redshirt sophomore WR Terrell Bynum caught five passes for 67 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 38-7 win over Boise State in the Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl.
Bynum (6'1/189) surprised with a big performance. After only catching 26 passes all season, Bynum showed up with 5 catches and a touchdown to help propel the Huskies to a victory in this one. With TE Hunter Bryant, who led the team in receiving yards this year, and senior WR Aaron Fuller leaving school for the NFL Draft, Bynum will need to be one of a handful of Washington receivers to step up big time next season.
  • FA Wide Receiver
A coach whose team opposed Washington freshman WR Terrell Bynum at the high school level said that "[h]onestly, he’s the guy I would like to clone if I could do it.”
“He’s explosive, so when he catches the ball, you’d better make the tackle because he’ll make plays with his legs,” the coach said. “He loves a broken field where he can use his quickness and vision to make plays.” One area of improvement that the coach forwarded for the 6-foot-1, 177-pounder -- strength and physicality. “When we were physical against him, that’s when he struggled,” he explained. An opposing player likewise said that "[h]e hated guys being physical against him. You could see it in his eyes.” That player wasn’t all doom-and-gloom, though, and praised Bynum’s sharp route-running. That he is already a technician on his routes is a very encouraging sign for his development.
