CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reports Bengals WRs coach Troy Walters declined to interview for the Bears’ offensive coordinator vacancy.
Walters has received several OC interviews over the years. He would not call the plays in Chicago and currently works with the best wide receiver duo in the NFL, so he is understandably staying in Cincinnati for the time being. Walters has been with the Bengals since 2020.

CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reports the Cardinals have requested an interview with Bengals WR coach Troy Walters for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Walters also interviewed for the Texans’ offensive coordinator vacancy this offseason. He joined the Bengals as an assistant wide receiver coach in 2020 and was promoted to his current position a year later. If hired by the Cardinals, Walters would join first-year head coach Jonathan Gannon as he attempts to right the ship after a failure of a season in 2022.

Texans requested permission to interview Bengals WR coach Troy Walters for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
It’s the first OC interest we’ve seen from Walters, who took an assistant wideouts coach gig with the Bengals in 2020 and has moved up to head wideouts coach in the time since. It’s also the first request sent out by the Texans since hiring DeMeco Ryans as head coach.

Indianapolis wide receiver Troy Walters is targeting Thanksgiving as his return from a broken arm.
It’s mildly curious the Colts would use a roster spot all season on Walter’s possible return.

Troy Walters caught a touchdown from Peyton Manning on Indianapolis’ opening drive of the preseason.
Walters, filling in for Brandon Stokley during the preseason, caught two passes for seven yards.

Troy Walkers is likely to act as the Colts third wideout should Brandon Stokley miss any playing time in the regular season.
Don’t expect Walters to make a huge impact. Stokley’s absence should just mean more balls for Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, and especially Dallas Clark.

Bengals hired Nebraska OC/WRs coach Troy Walters as assistant WRs coach.
You know it’s a slow news shift when we’re blurbing assistant wide receiver coach hirings. A former NFL receiver and return specialist for the Vikings, Colts, Cardinals and Lions, Walters, Walters has coached at the college level since 2009, serving as Scott Frost’s right-hand man at both Central Florida and Nebraska. This will be the second time Walters has worked with Zac Taylor following a previous stint together as assistants at Texas A&M. He’ll have some interesting pieces to work with in Cincinnati including Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate and potentially impending free agent A.J. Green, who could be retained on the franchise tag.

Arizona WR Troy Walters caught four passes for 58 yards Friday night.
Walters’ longest reception on the night went for 39 yards. He’s probably the Cardinals’ fifth receiver, right behind LeRon McCoy.

Colts WR Troy Walters broke his arm during tonight’s preseason game vs. the Jets.
Walters was battling Aaron Moorehead for the No. 4 receiver role and was going to be a factor on kick returns. He’s likely out for the year.

Troy Walters caught four passes for 73 yards Friday.
He’ll be the third receiver in Indianapolis until Brandon Stokley gets healthy.
