Rookie fifth-round pick, linebacker Tyjuan Hagler will miss at least three months following sports hernia surgery.
The Colts were already very thin at linebacker, where Hagler was expected to be a backup in the middle.
  • IND Linebacker
Colts fifth-round pick Tyjuan Hagler will miss at least the first month of the regular season with a groin injury.
The Colts placed him on the PUP list, and he could stay there to open the season.
  • DET Wide Receiver
WR Roy Hall (separated left shoulder) is expected to miss at least three weeks.
Hall was injured during a kickoff collision with Texans DL Cedric Killings in Week 3. Several Colts sat out Wednesday’s practice, including Tyjuan Hagler (player decision), cornerback Marlin Jackson (quadriceps) guard Ryan Lilja (knee), but all are expected to play this week.
  • IND Wide Receiver
The Colts have ruled out Marvin Harrison (knee) and Freddie Keiaho (post-concussion syndrome) for Sunday’s game against Carolina.
Aaron Moorehead and Anthony Gonzalez will see more reps at wideout at Harrison’s flanker spot, but it’s uncertain who will start the game. Gonzalez would be the better WR3 play. Dallas Clark will also likely be more involved in the passing game. Tyjuan Hagler will probably kick from the strong side to play in Keiaho’s place, with Rocky Boiman taking Hagler’s usual spot.
  • JAC Linebacker
Bills WLB Freddie Keiaho (elbow) is expected to miss Week 5.
Tyjuan Hagler should pick up another start against the Bucs.
  • JAC Linebacker
Colts starting WLB Freddie Keiaho (dislocated right elbow) missed another practice on Wednesday.
Head coach Tony Dungy indicated Keiaho could practice on Thursday. His status will likely be made close to game time with Tyjuan Hagler, primarily a special teams contributor, in line to make his first NFL start. OL Charlie Johnson (knee) and CB Tim Jennings (knee) also missed Wednesday’s practice.
  • IND Linebacker
Colts LB Tyjuan Hagler will start Sunday if LB Freddy Keiaho can’t play.
Look for the Titans to attack Hagler and the Indy rush defense if Keiaho, an emerging player, can’t suit up. Keiaho is listed as doubtful.
  • IND Linebacker
Colts LB Tyjuan Hagler has displaced Rocky Boiman on the strong side.
Boiman had been filling in for Rob Morris (I.R.). Hagler, a youngster who’s mostly toiled on special teams as a pro, isn’t an attractive IDP option.

  • JAC Linebacker
Colts LBs Freddie Keiaho, Rocky Boiman, and Tyjuan Hagler all were limited in practice Wednesday.
Gary Brackett was also out of practice, but it sounds like he’ll play. The Colts may have a difficult time containing LaDainian Tomlinson Sunday if they don’t get Keiaho and Hagler healthy.
