    Bears signed sixth-round G Tyler Reed to a four-year, $1.6 million contract.
The Penn State alumn could battle Qasim Mitchell to be the Bears’ fifth-string guard.
  • CHI Guard
    Bears waived/injured OG Tyler Reed.
Reed, a 2006 sixth-round pick, has never played a regular season game. The 27-year-old’s season is already over following August knee surgery.
  • CHI Guard
Bears G Tyler Reed is out for the season after undergoing knee surgery.
Reed had been on the practice squad the past three seasons; he is likely to be waived/injured.
  • CHI Guard
Bears waived OLs Tyler Reed, Cody Balogh, and Ryan Poles.
Reed was a sixth-round pick out of Penn State in 2006.
  • CHI Guard
    Bears waived OG Tyler Reed.
Reed gave Chicago nothing in four years after they used a sixth-round pick on him in 2006. The former Penn State Nittany Lion won’t have a big market.
  • DET Wide Receiver
Bears signed WR John Broussard, OT Cody Balogh, WR/CB Rudy Burgess, DE Joe Clermond, TE Fontel Mines, G Tyler Reed, and LB Marcus Riley to reserve/future contracts.
Broussard, a speedster with return value, is the best prospect here although Chicago isn’t a great place for him to get playing time. A converted wideout, Mines could stick in 2009 as a third TE if Desmond Clark is traded.
  • SEA Wide Receiver
Bears signed wide receivers Mike Hass and Brandon Rideau, tight end Richard Angulo, guard Tyler Reed, defensive end Copeland Bryan, and tackle Mark LeVoir and allocated them to NFL Europa.
Hass couldn’t make the Saints as a sixth-round pick (a round ahead of Marques Colston) last year and landed on Chicago’s practice squad. He has an outside shot to take free agent Justin Gage’s roster spot in 2007.
