    Cowboys re-signed VP of player personnel Will McClay to a new contract.
    He was expected to be a hot commodity this interview cycle after turning down a chance to talk to the Texans last year, but McClay will reportedly stay put in Dallas with a big contract. It’s hard to take much scrutiny in Dallas, as he’s not even in the orbit of the Jones clan microscope, so it’s not a bad spot at all for McClay.

    The Texans’ GM search hasn’t really gotten off the ground. They were interested in the Packers’ Brian Gutekunst before he landed the GM gig in Green Bay, and now McClay has turned down an interview. Bills director of player personnel Brian Gaine remains a favorite to return to Houston.
  • Texans have been granted permission to interview Cowboys VP of player personnel Will McClay.
    There were reports McClay turned down the interview request, but the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that is not the case. Even if he eventually declines the interview, it is a reminder how coveted McClay is around the league. Houston is also interested in Bills VP of player personnel Brian Gaine.
