The Seahawks tried out free agents Zac Alcorn, a tight end, and Patrick Dendy, a cornerback, on Tuesday.
Alcorn has good hands but was inconsistent at Packers camp. Dendy was the team’s starting nickel back last year. CB Josh Wilson is hurt for Seattle.
  • SEA Tight End
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy says first-year TE Zac Alcorn “has the best hands on the team.”
Can he run? Green Bay has opened its tight end spot to competition. Alcorn is fighting Bubba Franks and Tory Humphrey for time behind Donald Lee.
  • NYJ Tight End
Bubba Franks is expected to be on the Packers’ 53-man roster in Week 1, but has virtually no chance of retaining his starting job.
Donald Lee will be Green Bay’s starter. Clark Harris and Zac Alcorn haven’t stepped up and made Franks expendable, so he’ll likely be second string.
  • SEA Tight End
Seahawks signed TE Zac Alcorn to a two-year contract.
Alcorn impressed during Packers training camp last offseason, but didn’t end up on the final roster. He’ll compete for a roster spot this summer.
  • SEA Tight End
    Seahawks waived TE Zac Alcorn.
The pride of Black Hills State was injured in camp.
  • DEN Tight End
Seahawks signed free agent TE Jeb Putzier to a one-year contract. Scout.com’s Adam Caplan reports the deal is for $645,000.
Putzier was released by the Texans last month after falling by the wayside over the last two years. With Will Heller as the No. 2 guy in Seattle, Putzier is expected to replace Bennie Joppru. The team’s starting tight end will likely come from April’s draft.
