The New York Islanders have activated goaltender Jaroslav Halak from injured reserve the club announced Sunday.
Halak has been out of the Islanders lineup since Dec. 20 with a lower body injury.
Kevin Poulin, who was recalled on an emergency basis from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, has been reassigned to the American Hockey League club. Poulin made one start in Halak’s absence making 26 saves in Saturday’s loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
Halak is 18-6-0 this season to go along with a 2.24 G.A.A. and a .919 save percentage.
