Martin Brodeur is back in the NHL.
On Tuesday the Blues made it official, signing Brodeur to a one-year deal that includes performances bonuses, per TVA. With the move, Brodeur will return for a 22nd NHL season -- his first wearing something other than a New Jersey Devils uniform.
Martin Brodeur's deal has a $700K base and pays $125K each if still on roster Feb. 1 and March 4. More bonuses TBA. Stay tuned. #STLBlues

The next big question, of course, is when Brodeur will make his St. Louis debut. The Blues begin a three-game road swing starting Wednesday in Chicago, followed by games in Nashville (Thursday) and Long Island (Saturday).
Speculation suggests Brodeur could be in against the Predators, which would be the second of a back-to-back set with Jake Allen presumably getting the start on Wednesday against the ‘Hawks. If that plays out, it’ll be Brodeur’s first NHL game action in over eight months -- his last start came on Apr. 13 of last season, when he stopped 16 of 18 shots in a 3-2 win over Boston.
