    Jaguars waived CB Nick Marshall.
A college quarterback, Marshall successfully made the switch to corner and actually started a game as a rookie. He was forced out by the Jaguars’ infusion of talent in the secondary, but he should get a look somewhere else.
  • FA Defensive Back #30
Coach Gus Bradley said he’s excited about and “looking for big strides” from second-year CB Nick Marshall.
Marshall, of course, was Auburn’s QB before switching to corner in the pros. He appeared in 13 games as a rookie UDFA, playing 141 of his 144 defensive snaps in December. Bradley may be talking up Marshall, but he’s deep down the depth chart after the additions of Prince Amukamara and Jalen Ramsey.
  • FA Defensive Back #30
NFL suspended CB/KR Nick Marshall four games for violating the league’s PED policy.
He’s the third Jet suspended this offseason, joining Austin Seferian-Jenkins (two games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy) and Jalin Marshall (four games for PEDs). Marshall filled a special teams role last season, returning six punts for 39 yards and 12 kickoffs for 228 yards in eight appearances.
  • FA Defensive Back #30
Jaguars signed Auburn CB Nick Marshall.
Marshall (6'2/207) played quarterback at Auburn, but practiced at cornerback during Senior Bowl practices and will try to make it as a defensive back in the pros. He has adequate arm length (32 1/8") for the position and ran 4.54 at the Combine, also impressing in the vertical (37 1/2") and broad (10'4") jumps. Marshall obviously needs a lot of technical work, but held his own in Mobile and has ideal dimensions for a big, perimeter press corner.
  • FA Defensive Back #30
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said UDFA rookie CB Nick Marshall will be the team’s nickel corner moving forward.
Marshall played 55 snaps against the Colts after playing just three defensive snaps in the first 13 weeks of the season. Marshall held his own despite giving up a big play to T.Y. Hilton, and the ex-Auburn QB has the size Bradley covets on the outside. This week Marshall could find himself frequently matched up against Julio Jones. That is a battle Jones should win.
