According to OC Chris Palmer, Rusty Smith is ahead of Nick Stephens for the team’s No. 3 quarterback job.
With all eyes on the Jake Locker/Matt Hasselbeck competition, Smith and Stephens are competing for one job. Smith, a 2010 sixth-round pick, has the leg up on Stephens, who went undrafted this past April.
