Before Arizona Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema could compete in an Ironman, she had to learn how to swim.

Her coach was well qualified.

Sinema hired 2000 Olympic gold medalist Misty Hyman to get up to speed for Sunday’s Ironman Arizona.

Sinema, 37, will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles in Tempe.

She said she hopes to complete it in 16 hours, according to CBS 5 in Arizona.

Next up for Sinema? She wants to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Who would be the best Olympian coach for that goal? Ashton Eaton? Petter Northug?
