Table tennis does not see a lot of injuries, but what happened at the Chinese National Games was very concerning.

Guo Yue, 25, a four-time Olympic medalist (two gold), can be seen lying on the floor in this video. A stretcher was brought out -- but not used -- and a neck brace was fitted on her.

Guo fell down to the court during a match, according Xinhua News Agency. She has reportedly dealt with vertigo in the past.

“Although it remains unknown now how serious her injury is, I guess that Guo is unlikely to continue to play at the National Games,” coach Song Liang said, according to Xinhua.

The Chinese National Games are one of the biggest sporting events in the world’s most populous nation. They’re almost like a mini-Olympics for Chinese athletes. Olympic champion swimmer Sun Yang is among the top names competing.
