Nick Faldo, Annika Sörenstam part of NBC Olympics golf team

Hall of Famers Nick Faldo, Annika Sörenstam, Johnny Miller and Judy Rankin will be NBC Olympics analysts on Golf Channel for the sport’s return to the Games in Rio.

Golf returns to the Olympics for the first time since 1904 in August. The four-round, stroke-play tournaments are Aug. 11-14 for the men and Aug. 17-20 for the women.

The major champions Faldo and Miller will rotate lead analyst roles for the men’s tournament. Terry Gannon and Steve Sands will rotate lead play-by-play duties. Others on the broadcast will include David Feherty, Peter Jacobsen, Roger Maltbie, Curt Byrum and Todd Lewis.

For the women’s tournament, Sörenstam and Hall of Famer Judy Rankin will rotate lead analyst roles with Gannon and Sands also rotating play-by-play duties. Tom Abbott, Jerry Foltz, Kay Cockerill, Karen Stupples, Byrum and Lewis will also be on the broadcast.

Rich Lerner and Rex Hoggard will also join the team for Golf Central Live from the Olympics.
