Can the Queen keep her crown?

South Korea’s Yuna Kim - known as “Queen Yuna” to her legions of fans - is back to defend her Olympic title and leads a stout international field in the ladies’ figure skating competition.

You can watch the first part of that, the short program, LIVE on NBCSN and on starting at 10 a.m. ET.

15-year-old Russian phenom Yulia Lipnitskaia and Vancouver silver medalist Mao Asada of Japan should also have their say in who gets the Sochi gold.

But it should be noted that Team USA isn’t lacking for talent here.

U.S. Nationals champion Gracie Gold looked great in the team competition, while Ashley Wagner is a seasoned veteran of international events. And their third competitor, Polina Edmunds, is coming off a runner-up performance last month in Boston.
