Retired Olympic champion figure skater Yuna Kim was named an honorary ambassador for the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, the Winter Games’ organizing committee said Wednesday, according to South Korean reports.

Kim, who retired after following her 2010 Olympic gold with a silver in Sochi, was on the South Korean host’s bid team. She traveled to Durban, South Africa, for the International Olympic Committee vote in 2011, when Pyeongchang won the right to host the Winter Games over Munich and Annecy, France.

Texas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo and ballerina Kang Sue-jin were previously named Pyeongchang 2018 ambassadors.
