Cornick

Cornick was just claimed off waivers from the Broncos on Tuesday. It’s unclear what caused Cornick to fail his physical. He appeared in 12 games for Denver last season, making six starts. He’ll compete for someone’s final tackle spot once he gets healthy.

Cornick appeared in 12 games for the Broncos last season, making six emergency starts at right tackle. Although he was highly ineffective, Cornick should get a chance to compete for a 53-man roster spot elsewhere.

Cornick was somewhat surprisingly waived by Denver. A 2012 undrafted free agent, he appeared in 12 games last season, making six starts. He provides depth for one of the league’s weakest tackle corps.

Cornick was forced into six starts last year, grading out negatively in run-blocking by PFF. He’ll return to compete with Chris Clark and 2014 third-rounder Michael Schofield for the right tackle job. Cornick will likely be limited to swing duties.
