    Eagles waived WR Paul Turner.
Turner was legitimately the Eagles’ best receiver throughout training camp, but they felt waiver pickup “Bryce Treggs” offers a higher upside. The Eagles will likely try to sneak Turner through waivers and onto their practice squad.

CSN Philly’s Reuben Frank reports undrafted rookie WR Paul Turner has been the Eagles’ second-best receiver this summer.
Philly Voice’s Jimmy Kempski echoed this sentiment following the Eagles’ second preseason game. Turner (5'10/193) made a sensational one-handed, 23-yard grab to set up a touchdown last night, and has reeled in nine passes for 78 yards this preseason. Jordan Matthews is the lone locked-in starter in Philly. Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham will still get every opportunity to prove themselves.

The Philly Voice’s Jimmy Kempski believes undrafted rookie WR Paul Turner is a “strong contender” to make the final roster.
Turner has been earning praise for his performance thus far in camp, with CSN Philly’s Reuben Frank saying he has been the second-best receiver on the roster. With not much talent on the depth chart, Turner has a strong case for a roster spot.

Eagles signed WR Paul Turner to their practice squad.
Turner was easily the Eagles’ best receiver in training camp, but it still wasn’t good enough to earn him a spot with busts Nelson Agholor and Josh Huff still on scholarship. Turner cleared waivers and will serve as depth.
  • FA Wide Receiver #86
Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Daily News expects Paul Turner “to get a lot of work” Week 17 against the Cowboys.
Turner is listed as the starter with Jordan Matthews out with an ankle injury. Zach Ertz dominated the proceedings the last time Matthews sat, but Turner also had six catches for 80 yards on eight targets. He is a sneaky GPP play on full-point PPR DFS sites.
  • FA Wide Receiver #86
Paul Turner caught 2-of-4 targets for 30 yards Week 17 against the Cowboys.
Turner was not able to recreate his success from the last game Jordan Matthews missed as Carson Wentz peppered the tight ends and running backs with targets. An undrafted rookie out of Louisiana Tech, Turner finishes his first NFL campaign with 9 catches for 126 yards. He will battle for a roster spot next offseason.
  • FA Wide Receiver #86
Eagles declared WR Paul Turner, RT H. Vaitai, RB Darren Sproles, CB Dwayne Gratz, DE Steven Means, DT Taylor Hart, and OL Allen Barbre inactive for Week 15 against the Ravens.
Rookie G/C Isaac Seumalo will take over at right tackle, replacing Barbre, who had been replacing Vaitai, who had been replacing Lane Johnson. With Sproles inactive and Wendell Smallwood on I.R., Ryan Mathews should dominate backfield work.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Paul Turner is expected to see snaps in the slot Monday night against the Packers.
With Nelson Agholor expected to be limited or deactivated, Jordan Matthews should see more time outside. That should open up some snaps in the slot for UDFA rookie Turner, who was just added off the practice squad this week. Dorial Green-Beckham and Bryce Treggs should also see more snaps. No one in that trio is a viable fantasy option even in a good matchup.

Paul Turner caught 6-of-8 targets for 80 yards in the Eagles’ Week 13 loss to the Bengals.
Turner didn’t do squat in his NFL debut last week against the Packers, but he came out and led the Eagles in receiving yards in this one. His big play was a 41-yard catch-and-run up the right sideline. With Jordan Matthews (ankle) out, Turner handled a ton of reps out of the slot. If Matthews doesn’t come back for Week 14 against the Redskins, Turner will be on the deep PPR map.
  • FA Wide Receiver #86
Eagles WR Paul Turner caught 1-of-2 targets for 16 yards in the Eagles’ Week 14 loss to the Redskins.
Turner had a folk hero outing in Week 13, but came back down to earth this afternoon, even with Carson Wentz attempting 46 passes. Turner shouldn’t be rostered in re-draft leagues.
