Live Daily Coverage from Paris, Home of the 2024 Paralympic Games, Begins Sunday on Peacock

Team USA Paralympians Tatyana McFadden, Nick Mayhugh, Brittni Mason, Hunter Woodhall, and More Expected to Compete

STAMFORD, Conn. – July 6, 2023 – Peacock presents live coverage of the 2023 World Para Track & Field Championships, presented by Xfinity, beginning this Sunday, July 9, at 3 a.m. ET on Peacock from Charléty Stadium in Paris, the host city of next year’s Paralympic Games. Peacock will stream live daily coverage of the multi-day championship event, starting Sunday, July 9, and ending Monday, July 17.

The first installment of this event since 2019, the meet will offer Team USA as well as other nations the chance to earn spots to compete at the 2024 Paralympic Games from August 28-September 8 of next year. NBC Sports will also present extensive coverage of the 2023 World Para Swimming Championships in Manchester, England, from July 31-August 6, with programming details to be provided at a later date.

A host of U.S. Paralympic medalists are expected to compete in Paris. Three-time Tokyo Paralympic gold medalist sprinter and T37 100m world record holder Nick Mayhugh; two-time Tokyo Paralympic medalist Daniel Romanchuk, who has won the men’s wheelchair race at the Boston, New York, and Chicago Marathons; two-time Paralympic 400m T20 gold medalist Breanna Clark; Tokyo Paralympic 5000m T54 gold medalist Susannah Scaroni, who won the women’s wheelchair race at the 2023 Boston Marathon; 18-year old phenom sprinter and jumper Ezra Frech; three-time Tokyo Paralympic medalist sprinter Brittni Mason; three-time Paralympic medalist sprinter Hunter Woodhall; and 20-time Paralympic T54 medalist Tatyana McFadden are all expected to race.

CNBC will air a “best of” compilation, featuring full races from the championships, on Sunday, July 23, at Noon ET.
