STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 27, 2026 – NBC Sports concluded its coverage of the 2026 Presidents Cup at historic Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill., on NBC and Peacock, as the United States completed the biggest final-day comeback win in Presidents Cup history, winning 17-13. The U.S. has won 11 consecutive Presidents Cups.
Calling the action is NBC Sports’ 2026 Presidents Cup broadcast team of play-by-play commentator Dan Hicks, who has called every Presidents Cup since 2000, commentator Terry Gannon, and analysts Kevin Kisner, who has been a part of the Presidents Cup twice as a player (2017, 2022) and once as an assistant captain in 2024, and Brad Faxon. On-course reporters include Jim “Bones” Mackay, who has caddied in or commentated at every Presidents Cup dating back to its inception in 1994, John Wood, who has caddied in or commentated at every Presidents Cup since 2007, and Smylie Kaufman. I put him in a really tough spot out there. We thought he could handle it and sure enough, he did… So damn proud of Jacob Bridgeman. Getting his first point as a Presidents Cup rookie. All these guys, they fought for each other.”

Chris Gotterup to Banks on going the whole way but getting the full point: “I haven’t looked at the board, but I knew coming into today, every point is important and definitely went a little longer and a little more stressful than I would’ve liked but Christian Bezuidenhout played a great match. A point is a point.”
Chris Gotterup to Banks: “This is far and away the most nervous, the most fun, pressure-packed environment I’ve ever been a part of. I didn’t feel like I had my best stuff this week and getting thrown into this with not your ‘A game’ is stressful but I felt like I handled it really well. We have a great team and a lot of guys that believe in each other. Hopefully we can pull this out.”

Scottie Scheffler to Banks on Nico Echavarria’s chip-in on the 16th: “He’s really, really good around the greens. I wouldn’t say too surprising. That ball was going to get into the hole for sure. He’s a great competitor and we had a really solid match today. I played some really good golf. I kept the golf course in front of me. I’m not sure if I missed any greens. Scottie Scheffler to Banks on Brandt Snedeker feeling like he made mistakes: “When you’re in the position that he’s in and things aren’t going the way maybe you think they should have for the first couple days, I think you could second guess all your decisions. He’s done a really good job of putting us in a place where we can succeed. Doing a really good job of supporting the guys. I wouldn’t hang his head over some of the decisions. This thing isn’t over.”

Faxon on Justin Thomas’ sixth-hole birdie igniting the crowd: “I couldn’t think of a better guy on this U.S. team to get off to a start like this and get the crowd going. That’s what gets the crowd going, his reaction. I don’t like it when these players ask the crowd to get involved when they’re not playing well.”
Hicks on Justin Thomas’ birdie to win the fourth hole: “The real spark plug for so many not only Presidents Cup teams, but Ryder Cup teams and he is doing his job today. That is for sure. And whipping up the crowd, which he can do, not only with his play but the way he goes about his demeanor on the golf course. Justin Thomas loves this spot.”
Wood on Scheffler in team events: “It’s going to be interesting to watch him on the green today. If I can say one thing about his record in the team events is he almost takes too much time in his putting when he has a teammate. His routine seems different. Much longer, more information. Will be interesting to see if he simplifies things and goes a little quicker today.”
Kisner on U.S. Team’s early singles lead: This is the start you wanted right here for the Americans. This is why he (Captain Brandt Snedeker) put all his horses out early.”
Kisner on Snedeker sharing he hasn’t held up his end of the bargain: “I feel like he’s putting a lot of it on himself just because the Americans are losing on home soil. Feels like he’s putting the pressure of them being behind on him. He’s taking the blame which is what a leader does. But he has to keep messaging that, ‘We can come back. This is not over.’”
Snedeker to Banks on mistakes he’s made this week: “With messaging with these guys, I haven’t been clear enough with them. Hindsight is 20/20 but I got the right lineup today. I’m really excited about these guys. I got in front of them. I’m really excited about the 12 guys going out there today. This is what they do. They play golf every week on tour. This is their bubble. They know what they’re doing out here.”
Snedeker to Banks on improvements overnight with final session remaining: “Just try to implore the guys that, ‘Hey, this thing is not anywhere close to being over.’ We have 12 points out there today. This is the world they live in. I’ve asked them to do a lot this week with different pairings, melding guys together. This is what you guys do every week. You’re in your own zone. Go out there and do that. Go out there and be the great golfers that you are.”
Snedeker to Banks on atmosphere on the first tee with President Donald Trump in attendance: “It’s pretty electric. It’s pretty awesome to have him here. Hope guys go out there and do him proud.”
INTERNATIONAL TEAM
Paul McGinley on Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim being leading point getters: “You have to have your top players playing well to win these team events. They’ve certainly been a backbone of this great performance over the first three days from the Internationals. They’ve ignited as a pairing. They have work to do today.”
Kaufman on Si Woo Kim’s par putt on the 13th: “You guys in the booth all know what these putts feel like, especially late in the game and with how much pressure is on this International side to close it out.”
McGinley on the Internationals’ demeanor: “Interesting though watching the body language of the Internationals today, with the away crowd, the noise. They have not been over exuberant when they hole putts. They’re aware of that. They don’t want to poke the dragon.”
McGinley on play so far: “It’s the proverbial game of two halves. The strategies of the two captains – I think the Internationals have conceded a lot of momentum in the way they put out the team in the first half and the Americans are taking advantage with the strength they have...Americans will be dominant. There’s a lot more red than there is yellow on the board. They are getting that momentum and the crowd behind them.”
Faxon on Ryan Fox’s first Presidents Cup opportunity at age 39: “He looks like he’s having a ball doing it as well. Having so much fun playing. He’s a fierce competitor. He’s perfect for these Cup teams.”
Kisner on Nico Echavarria’s matchup against Scottie Scheffler: “He likes the moment. He’s not backing down from this matchup. He loves being down the stretch and having the pressure on him.”
Faxon on Captain Geoff Ogilvy’s strategy: “I love the strategy of these pairings of the Presidents Cup and what Ogilvy’s done. There are some massive mismatches that are intentional on Ogilvy’s part...The attitude that Ogilvy’s had. He’s more laid back. He’s letting these guys have fun. He’s making that the priority over the intensity of Brandt Snedeker.”
Ogilvy to Banks on singles draw strategy: “We were pretty happy when we came out of it. (U.S. Team Captain) Brandt Snedeker is in a tough spot. When you’re behind in these things, you have to go strong early. We had a bit of an inside that that’s what would happen and we made a plan for that.”
Ogilvy to Banks on message carrying the lead into Sunday singles for the first time ever on foreign soil: “There is one day to go. Anything can happen in these singles. There’s 12 points, more than 30% of points for the tournament. Everyone just do your job, focus. Enjoy this again, because this is as good as golf gets. Enjoy the atmosphere, go out and go get it.”
