Race Day Live Begins Saturday at 10 a.m. ET with Race at 1 p.m. ET on Peacock before transitioning to Peacock and NBCSN at 2 p.m. ET
Superstars Jett Lawrence, Haiden Deegan, Hunter Lawrence, and Levi Kitchen all Expected to Compete on Saturday as Season-Long Points Race Intensifies
STAMFORD, Conn. – July 1, 2026 – The 2026 SMX World ChampionshipTM series and Pro Motocross season continues this Saturday, July 4, from RedBud National in Buchanan, Mich., beginning live at 1 p.m. ET on Peacock before transitioning to Peacock and NBCSN at 2 p.m. ET. A tentpole event of the Pro Motocross season, RedBud National hosts this race every Fourth of July weekend and regularly sees the largest attendance of any U.S. Motocross race.
Hunter Lawrence (180 points) won his second 450SMX race of the season at High Point Raceway at the most recent competition two weeks ago to move only two points behind 450 Class points leader and younger brother Jett Lawrence (182 points). Two-time 250 SMX World Champion Haiden Deegan sits in third place (144 points). In the 250 Class race, Cole Davies became the first New Zealander since Ben Townley in 2007 to win a Pro Motocross race. With the victory, Davies (143 points) moved into fourth place in the 250 Class points standings, trailing only leader Levi Kitchen (150 points), Jo Shimoda (149 points), and Julien Beaumer (148 points).
One of the most iconic courses on the Pro Motocross schedule, RedBud MX features the biggest jump on the circuit in the 140-foot LaRocco’s Leap, named after local Buchanan legend Mike LaRocco. The first-ever Pro Motocross at RedBud was held in 1974.
NBC Sports’ Jason Weigandt and SuperMotocross analyst James Stewart, a five-time AMA champion, will call this weekend’s action from RedBud National. Jason Thomas and Katie Osborne will serve as reporters.
