Peacock Continues Expansive Live PL Coverage this Season, Exclusive Matches and Return of Premier League Multiview
STAMFORD, Conn. – Aug. 18, 2026 – The 2026-27 Premier League season kicks off in three days across the platforms of NBCUniversal and Versant’s USA Network. The opening match on Friday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network and Universo features last year’s Premier League Manager of the Season Mikel Arteta, Golden Glove winner David Raya, England World Cup midfielder Declan Rice, and defending champions Arsenal hosting Coventry City, who return to the Premier League under Frank Lampard for the first time in 25 years. On-site pre-match coverage from Emirates Stadium begins on USA Network at 2 p.m. ET.
For the fourth consecutive year, NBC Sports’ Premier League Live studio team of Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe, and Tim Howard will be in the U.K. for special on-site, pitch-side shows on the season’s opening weekend. Coverage begins on Friday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. ET from Emirates Stadium ahead of Arsenal-Coventry City, Saturday, Aug. 22 at 7 a.m. ET from Gtech Community Stadium leading up to Brentford-Spurs, and Sunday, Aug. 23 at 8 a.m. ET from St. James’ Park ahead of Newcastle-Liverpool.
Showcasing more FIFA World Cup players than any other league, the 2026-27 Premier League season includes football’s biggest stars. More than 165 Premier League players with all 20 clubs were represented and Premier League players contributed to 125+ World Cup goals.
Arsenal, hosting Coventry City in Friday’s opener, are coming off their second major trophy in 6+ seasons under Mikel Arteta (2019-20 FA Cup) and the club’s first Premier League title in 22 years since the 2003-04 “Invincibles” completed the only unbeaten season in Premier League history. The club finished second in each of the previous three Premier League seasons. Their 44 wins in all competitions last season marked the club’s most ever in a single campaign. Jon Champion, Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux will call the match live from Emirates Stadium. Goal Zone follows the match at 5 p.m. ET on USA Network.
Saturday’s coverage begins with Premier League Mornings at 7 a.m. ET on USA Network, followed by newly promoted Hull City hosting 2025-26 Player of the Season Bruno Fernandes and Manchester United as Michael Carrick begins his first full season as the club’s full-time manager. (7:30 a.m. ET on USA Network and Universo). At 10 a.m. ET, NBC Sports presents three matches live: Everton v. Crystal Palace (USA Network, Universo), fellow promoted side Ipswich Town v. Sunderland (Peacock), and Nottingham Forest v. Leeds United (Peacock).
The Goal Rush whip-around show will stream live on Peacock on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET, providing viewers with the most compelling action in real time and on replay so they won’t miss a single goal or key play.
At 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Tottenham Hotspur, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, visit Brentford on NBC and Peacock. Peter Drury, Dixon and Le Saux will call the action live from Gtech Community Stadium. Goal Zone follows the match at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
This Sunday, Premier League Mornings begins at 8 a.m. ET on USA Network, followed by Manchester City v. Bournemouth at 9 a.m. ET on USA Network and Telemundo and Brighton – Aston Villa at 9 a.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN (English- and Spanish-language coverage). Last season’s Golden Boot winner and Norway World Cup star Erling Haaland and new midfielder Elliot Anderson, who starred for England at the 2026 World Cup, lead Manchester City as they begin the post-Pep Guardiola era. Then at 11:30 a.m. ET on USA Network and Telemundo, Liverpool, under new manager Andoni Iraola, travel to Newcastle United. Champion and Dixon will call the match live from St. James’ Park. Goal Zone follows Newcastle United-Liverpool at 1:30 p.m. ET on USA Network.
Opening weekend coverage concludes Monday, Aug. 24, as Fulham host Chelsea at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network and Universo. Goal Zone follows the match at 5 p.m. ET on USA Network. Cara Banks is joined by former Premier League player Danny Higginbotham for Monday’s Premier League Live at 2 p.m. ET and Goal Zone.

To celebrate the start of the new season, the Premier League is hosting “Coast to Coast”, a first-of-its-kind fan initiative that will see all 20 Premier League clubs connect with U.S. fans through free activations and watch parties on Aug. 21-24. Built around a series of 20 official Premier League club watch parties held in 15 cities across the U.S. for the 10 matches on opening weekend, the events will create a unique start to the new season, bringing fans closer to Premier League clubs to celebrate football, community, and club pride. In addition to gathering to watch matches, fans will be treated to interactive games, giveaways, photo opportunities, meet-and-greets with club legends, and more.
With millions in the U.S. watching soccer this summer, NBC Sports and the Premier League launched Find Your Match to help newfound soccer fans continue to engage in their passion for the game and discover the Premier League club that best matches their personality.
Find Your Match features a shareable, 11-question interactive quiz that pairs new, casual, or avid fans who don’t have a favorite team with a Premier League club based on their personality traits and cultural interests. Participants will dive into their music and travel preferences, TV fandom, and more.
Fans who complete the quiz will be entered for a chance to win a trip to the UK to watch their newly matched Premier League club play. The quiz is available on NBCSports.com, PremierLeague.com, and the Premier League app.
