Eddins

With Terrence McGee (hamstring) sidelined, the Bills bring back their 2008 fourth-round pick. Corner was released at final cuts earlier this month. Undrafted rookie linebacker Robert Eddins was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Eddins made the Bills as an undrafted rookie out of Ball State, transitioning impressively quickly from college defensive end to outside linebacker. The Bills appear to be quite high on Eddins, as he saw action on defense in Week 1. He’ll return as a legitimate candidate for a roster spot in 2012.

Eddins was only 28. He made the Bills as an undrafted rookie in 2011 before suffering a year-ending foot injury in Week 1 and spent parts of two years on the practice squad. Our thoughts are with Eddins’ family at this time.
