Ravens CB Robert Longerbeam suffered a torn patella tendon and will miss the rest of the season.
Longerbeam becomes the second Ravens rookie CB to be lost for the season due to a knee injury. Fellow rookie Bilhal Kone suffered a torn ACL and MCL in last Thursday’s preseason win over the Colts. Longerbeam, who was selected in the sixth round of this year’s draft, will now land on injured reserve and work toward returning next season. With two corners now out for the season, we can expect the Ravens to add a few new names to their secondary in the coming days.

Ravens selected Rutgers CB Robert Longerbeam with the No. 212 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Longerbeam (5’11/175) comes in with plenty of experience to the table having spent five years at Rutgers while recording 2,133 snaps. His best year came in 2024, where he recorded 43 total tackles, 11 pass deflections and two interceptions. One unique trait of Longerbeam is that he had the highest grade against the slant routes in 2024, with an 81.7, according to PFF. In fact he didn’t allow a catch on slant routes in the past three seasons with the Scarlet Knights. He shows decent awareness in pass coverage, posting a 73.6 overall coverage grade by PFF. Longerbeam holds his own ground as a corner. But, he is on the lighter side, standing at 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds which clouds his profile. Longerbeam is quick, but his average build can sometimes get in the way as he is not very aggressive at times. Longerbeam has the talent to be a rotational player, but his lack of size could make him more of a developmental nickel prospect.
