Arsenal has been handed a boost for their massive Tuesday task of reversing Bayern Munich’s 2-0 advantage in the UEFA Champions League’s Round of 16.

Defender Laurent Koscielny is back in the frame for the Gunners, who need to do something no one’s done at the Allianz Arena since March 13, 2013 by beating Bayern by two in their own building.

The good news? That team was Arsenal, which won 2-0 in the second leg of last year’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

The bad news? Bayern held a 3-1 advantage after the first leg last season and advanced.

Kieran Gibbs is out of the fray after suffering an ankle injury in this weekend’s FA Cup quarterfinal win over Everton, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Thomas Vermaelen may fill in for him at left back. Gibbs could return for Sunday’s marquee matchup with Tottenham.
