He’s the youngest player to appear in the European Championships, and 15-year-old Martin Odegaard is visiting Liverpool.

The youngster said Liverpool has “always been my dream club” last month, as his profile has increased since breaking European and Norwegian records earlier this Fall.

Odegaard spent some time around Liverpool’s training ground as he sizes up his next move. Said to be desired by Barcelona and other European giants, does Liverpool have an edge?

Sky Sports claims Odegaard has already been to Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich on similar visits. He can’t sign a professional contract until he turns 16, but has already been playing for Stromsgodset in Norway.

And Rodgers has spoken of his Odegaard admiration in the past.
From SkySports:

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is aware of the youngster’s quality.

Speaking last month he said: “I know he’s a big talent, at that age to be playing senior football at 15 and in a competitive league.

“He’s got wonderful ability and wonderful talent.”

Will playing for his family’s favorite team be enough to lure Odegaard to Merseyside over such destinations as the Bernabeu and Allianz Arena? Your guess is as good as ours, but putting on the shirt of your childhood heroes should be a very strong pull toward Anfield.
