The Clarets started brightly but couldn’t capitalize through Danny Ings in the opening minute and Mame Diouf should have done better on three occasions for Stoke.
With the point Burnley remain in 19th on 30 points, while Stoke remain in ninth on 51 points which is their highest tally in the PL-era.

Burnley started the brighter of the two teams as Ings had a couple of quick-fire chances but Jack Butland denied him at point-blank range inside the first two minutes.
Just before the break Stoke could have gone ahead twice but Diouf first headed an effort wide from Walters’ cross and then Walters sent an effort wide moments later.

In the second half Diouf again went close but Tom Heaton saved well down low as the Potters took the game to the Clarets but Burnley held on.
Sean Dyche’s side couldn’t finish their home slate with a win as their goalscoring problems which have plagued them for the second half of the season, and ultimately lead to their relegation, continued to haunt them.
