Give Round One to the Bhoys.

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic rudely welcomed Old Firm rivals Rangers back to Scotland’s top flight with a decisive 5-1 win at Celtic Park on Saturday.

It’s the 12th time Celtic have beaten Rangers by four or more goals, compared to seven in the other direction.

Rodgers’ surprising capture of Moussa Dembele is paying dividends, as the ex-Fulham man recorded the first Old Firm hat trick in 43 years.

Stuart Armstrong and Scott Sinclair also scored for Celtic, who led 3-1 when Philippe Senderos was sent off for Rangers. Joe Garner scored the lone goal for the visitors.

Celtic remains perfect on the Premiership season, and has a four-point lead on Rangers, Hearts, and Dundee despite playing a match less than the trio.
