Clint Dempsey will miss matches for club and country after suffering a hamstring injury in United States men’s national team training on Monday.
USSoccer.com says he’ll be out for 2-3 weeks, and that no replacement will be named for the USMNT’s friendlies against Denmark (Wednesday) and Switzerland (March 31).

Seattle’s next three matches are against FC Dallas, Houston and L.A.
The injury presents a big opportunity for someone, depending on which formation Klinsmann chooses to roll out.
Rubio Rubin and Aron Johannsson are the favorites for increased playing time if Klinsmann opts for two out-and-out forwards (the other being Jozy Altidore), while Gyasi Zardes and Miguel Ibarra could see more time in a playmaking role.
