Diego Costa will be available to Chelsea this weekend, says Jose Mourinho; QPR and Blues to tangle on NBCSN

Chelsea’s strike force is about to return to its lethal best, with Diego Costa rejoining the fray for Saturday’s London derby against Queens Park Rangers.

Costa missed four matches across all competitions with a hamstring injury and then a viral infection after a red-hot start saw him score 9 goals in 7 Premier League matches.

His availability for club and country has caused some consternation for both Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and Spain manager Vicente del Bosque.

And “The Special One” is happy to have Costa back in the fold, though he sounded a bit wary about Costa’s potential to play in Spain’s upcoming European qualifiers.

From the BBC:

“Now he is available again, but he needs to be under special care.

“I’m always supportive of players playing for their countries when they are in the condition to do so.

“But I’m nobody to stand in the way of the national team, I can’t stop him going away with his country.”

Chelsea and QPR kick-off at 11am ET on NBCSN this Saturday.
