Real Madrid have been crowned the most valuable soccer club on the planet for the third-straight year by Forbes.
In a statement released by the magazine on Wednesday, Real were valued at $3.26 billion and despite a five percent decrease on last season they still claim top spot among the world’s elite soccer teams.

Their arch rivals Barcelona is in second after a 1 percent drop to $3.16 billion, while Manchester United has seen its value increase 10 percent as they round off the top three at $3.1 billion. Bayern Munich’s value increased by 27 percent as they are in fourth and valued at $2.35 billion.
Premier League sides dominate the top 10 most valuable clubs on the planet as Manchester City ($1.38 billion), Chelsea ($1.37 billion), Arsenal ($1.31 billion) and Liverpool $982 million all feature.
Plenty of teams are reaping the benefits of increased revenue thanks to TV deals as Forbes states that “the 20 most valuable soccer teams in the world are worth an average of $1.16 billion, 11% more than last year and 84% higher than five years ago.” It is worth noting that Real Madrid’s revenue in 2013-14 was $746 million, while United came in second with $703 million, Barcelona generated $657 million and Bayern Munich’s revenue levels were $661 million.
