Liverpool have completed the $7.5 million signing of Serbian teenager Marko Grujic, with the midfielder signing a long-term deal at Anfield.

Grujic, 19, will be immediately loaned back to his current club Red Star Belgrade for the remainder of the season and will link up with the Reds full-time ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.
The move for Grujic has been well publicized in recent weeks and although his father had claimed he was holding Grujic’s passport, as he wanted him to remain in Belgrade, the deal has been sealed and here’s what the talented youngster had to say after visiting Liverpool’s facilities.
Jurgen Klopp has plenty of experience in nurturing top young talent and there’s no doubt that Grujic is one of the hottest young properties in Europe after he starred for Serbia’s U-20 team during the FIFA U-20 World Cup triumph last summer.
Klopp described Grujic -- his first signing as Liverpool boss -- as “a tall boy, but quick and good at technical things. He can play passes and can dribble.” He also said that Liverpool’s scouts showed him videos of Grujic when he arrived as manager and everyone was eager to seal the deal.

After making his debut for Red Star at 17, Grujic has gone on to become a regular with the Serbian giants and has scored five times in 21 appearances this season.
