Stevan Jovetic and Yaya Toure helped Manchester City counter game Swansea City’s early goal to keep pace with Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title.

Wilfried Bony scored for Garry Monk’s Swans, who fall behind Newcastle and potentially Arsenal or Manchester United in the race for the Top Five.

Manchester City remains 8 back of Chelsea after the win.

Jesus Navas kept Bony’s daring run an onside one, as the Ivorian forward uses a deft touch to set up his shot before beating Joe Hart for the game’s opener.

But Navas redeemed himself with a tremendous cross from the outside of the box that Jovetic darted between defenders to poke past Fabianski. It was 1-1 before 20 minutes were gone.

Manchester City kept knocking well into the second half, as found their answer courtesy of Yaya Toure off a nifty backheel from Fernandinho.

17 - Wilfried Bony has netted 17 goals in the Premier League in 2014, more than any other player. Princely.

Bafetimbi Gomis should’ve put Swansea City level five minutes from time, but he tipped the ball over Hart and wide of the goal.
