Arsenal are reportedly in for Napoli’s Slovakian attacker Marek Hamsik, according to the Metro. Hamsik, 27, can play in a variety of roles across midfield and although the Serie A side may be unwilling to depart with the spiky haired wonder, he has been left out of recent staring lineups by Rafael Benitez.
The same report also suggests that the Gunners want to replace out of favor forwards Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski with Roma’s Mattia Destro. The Italian international striker has found himself in and out of the Roma team and could be available for $23 million in the January transfer window. Scoring goals doesn’t seem to be an issue for Arsenal, as they need to strengthen defensively, but if 23-year-old Destro becomes available then the Gunners could move to snap him up.
