  • QPR have only scored one goal away from home this season
  • Chelsea have kept 10 clean sheets in their last 12 home matches
  • Diego Costa will be available for Chelsea

Coming off of a big win against Aston Villa, QPR head to Stamford Bridge to meet league-leading Chelsea.

You can watch the match live this Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on NBCSN or online via Live Extra.

Queens Park Rangers secured their first win since August last weekend with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa. While the R’s will be riding high, they face a daunting task as they take on Chelsea in a London derby.

Charlie Austin tallied twice for QPR against Villa, but don’t expect a repeat performance as Chelsea have only allowed two goals at Stamford Bridge all season, both against Swansea City. With only seven points through nine matches, few are giving Harry Redknapp’s men any shot against the league-leaders. However, few gave QPR a chance last time they visited Stamford Bridge in January of 2013, when a Shaun Wright-Phillips goal led the R’s to a shocking 1-0 win.

Good news for Chelsea as Diego Costa is set to return from injury for the Blues. The Spanish striker has missed two matches with a nagging hamstring injury, yet still leads the Premier League in scoring with nine goals in seven games. While it is not clear if Costa will be able to go the full 90 minutes, Blues fans shouldn’t worry as Didier Drogba has found his form at the perfect time.

With Costa and Loic Remy injured, Drogba has scored in three consecutive matches. No matter who’s up top for Chelsea, they shouldn’t have a hard time handling a QPR defense that has conceded the most goals in the league.

What they’re saying:

Jose Mourinho on playing in a derby: “London is a special place with derbies. You play eight or 10 derbies – sometimes Fulham, Charlton, plus the traditionals - West Ham, Arsenal, Tottenham. That makes it unique. That makes the London teams have more difficult times than others, because a derby is always a derby.”

Harry Redknapp on facing the best: “Chelsea are the best team in the country, the team to beat this season for sure, but we’ll give it a go. We pulled off a shock last time ... let’s hope we can pull off another this weekend.”

Prediction:

There have been plenty of shocking results in the Premier League, but don’t expect another one at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea remain top of the table as QPR return to their losing ways. Chelsea 3-0 Queens Park Rangers.
